As some of you may already know, I got married this past winter and I am now changing all my online accounts from MissShayD to my actual name. To spice things up a little bit more I decided to also update the look of my site! I hope you all like it as much as I do! I will be sharing some more news very soon along with, of course, new artwork that I am very excited to share!
The Frederic Remington Art Museum in Ogdensburg, New York is holding their 8th biannual International Juried Art Exhibit! Just received news they picked one of my pieces to be displayed! Sad to have it gone for about four months but I'm certain it will be a nice temporary home for the raccoon. Seems weird that it'll be hanging in a museum seeing it just dried a couple weeks ago.
The Exhibit will be opening September 21st with a reception at 2 to 4 o'clock and will be on display until January 7th. The museum hours are 10 to 5 o'clock everyday but on Sundays, Sunday hours run from 1 to 5 o'clock. Come check out my Raccoon in Flowers oil painting in person along with 37 other pieces of artwork done by artists from this region!
